February planning:

February is all about Numbers and 5 Senses. We will playfully introduce numbers, counting & early math skills to the munchkins by preparing fun activities such as: number hunts, singing counting songs, maths bags, counting games, run around numbers, tracing numbers, play dough number stamping and of course we will be continuing to count & point out numbers in everyday conversations, routines and walks. Our five senses allow us to enjoy the world around us—the taste of our food, the sound of music, the beauty of a sunrise, the softness of a cat’s fur, and the fragrance of a flower. Children may recognize the importance of their senses, but they don’t often focus on them individually. For the next four weeks we will prepare games, activities, arts and crafts, and resources to help your munchkin learn about each of the five senses. They will experiment with sound by making instruments, guess what’s inside a “feely” bag by using touch, investigate to find out why they can taste different flavours, and much more.
